Need for Speed Rivals is locked at 30 FPS on PC

The game is locked by default at 30 frames/second.

You can start the game and play it at 60 FPS by adding this code to your NFS shortcut > target “-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60″. It will be something like “E:\Installed Games\NFS Rivals\NFS14.exe-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60″.

The problem is that NFS Rivals becomes unplayable at 60 FPS because the speed will also increase with the amount of FPS and it will be impossible to control the car. That’s why the car moves slower when you have low FPS (15-20). The optimal way to play the game is at 30 FPS (like we have on consoles).

EA could solve this matter in a future patch. NFS Most Wanted 2012 was locked at 60 FPS.

Starting the game from the “NFS Rivals” or “NFS Rivals x86″ shortcut”? I didn’t found any difference in terms of performance, framerate, and I use Windows 7 64 bit.

Another problem is that NFS Rivals doesn’t support AA (Anti-Aliasing).
